Questions
Is my address really private?
Yes. Your address is encrypted at rest in our database and is only ever passed directly to the assigned florist for delivery. It is never visible to the sender, never logged in their order history, and never displayed on your public profile.
Can I restrict who sends me flowers?
Yes - you can set your profile to accept from anyone (public) or followers only. You can also pause your link at any time from your profile settings.
Do I have to message someone who sends flowers?
Never. The choice to reply is entirely yours. The notification from Violet tells you who sent the flowers and shows their note - but whether you reach out is completely up to you.
How does the service fee work for senders?
Violet adds a 15% coordination fee on top of the bouquet price at checkout. This covers delivery coordination, the notification system, and the platform. Florists receive the full bouquet price - the fee never comes from them.
How do I become a florist partner?
Email us at partners@vlet.me or click "Apply to partner" above. We're currently onboarding florists in Kyiv. Onboarding takes about 30 minutes - we'll set up your dashboard, add your bouquets, and configure your delivery slots.
Which cities does Violet operate in?
We're launching in Kyiv and expanding to other Ukrainian cities shortly. If your city isn't covered yet, you can still create a profile - you'll be notified as soon as delivery becomes available near you.

This website and service is operated by OCD HOLDINGS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17110880. Our registered office is at 45 Silverstream House, Fitzroy Street, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6EB.

We trade under the names Violet and Flower Bureau. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy include both trading names.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Delivery address and phone number
  • Email address
  • Wishlist preferences and bouquet selections
  • Order history and transaction data
  • Device and usage data (analytics)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To fulfil orders and provide the Violet service (contract performance)
  • To notify you of deliveries and send account updates
  • To manage your wishlist and profile
  • Marketing communications - with your consent, or where we have a legitimate interest, we may contact you with offers, news, and updates under the trading names Violet, Flower Bureau, or OCD Holdings Ltd
  • Exclusive event invitations - your data may be used to invite you to events organised by or associated with Violet, Flower Bureau, or OCD Holdings Ltd
  • To improve the service and prevent fraud
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Legal Bases (UK GDPR)

  • Contract performance - processing required to deliver the service you requested
  • Legitimate interests - marketing, event invitations, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where not overridden by your rights
  • Consent - where you have opted in to specific communications
  • Legal obligation - where processing is required by law

5. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Florist partners - to fulfil your delivery
  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, Apple Pay) - to process transactions securely
  • Analytics providers - usage data, aggregated or pseudonymised where possible
  • Legal or regulatory authorities - where required by law or court order

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. Order and transaction records are typically retained for 7 years in line with UK accounting requirements. Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent or object to processing.

7. International Transfers

Our service operates internationally, including in Ukraine. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards - such as Standard Contractual Clauses - in line with UK GDPR requirements.

8. Your Rights - UK

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@vlet.me. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Your Rights - Ukraine

For users in Ukraine, we process personal data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine on Personal Data Protection (No. 2297-VI). You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Complaints may be directed to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), which acts as the data protection supervisory authority in Ukraine.
